Compaction Testing - Primary: Nuclear Densometer Test

Used to determine maximum dry density and air voids.

NZS 4431 lists other methods that can be used in place of the NDM where necessary to determine maximum dry density and/or air voids.

In cohesive fill, measurement of air voids should be completed in conjunction with shear vane readings
