Developers will normally be expected to construct assets that meet the Council’s agreed levels of service. Where a developer seeks to construct assets outside of these limits, specific permission is required.
Council’s level of service policy sets out the conditions under which Council will consider accepting different levels of service. Any development not meeting these criteria will need to negotiate a one-off dispensation with Council.
Council is committed to maintaining assets to the standards set by the level of service. Due to the likely impact on all ratepayers, no such commitment is made to assets which significantly exceed defined levels of service.
