QA-3.2 Level of Supervision of Construction for Development Works

Supervision of the development works by the Consent Holder's Representative shall be commensurate with the scale and type of works. 

  1. Development works shall be supervised at a level that reflects the following components:
    1. Complexity of works.
    2. Complexity of topography.
    3. Consequence of failure.
    4. Cost of failure.
    5. Expertise and experience of Contractor
  2. When applying for Development Works Approval the Consent Holder's Representative shall confirm to Council the level of supervision proposed to be utilised by them in supervising the development works
  3. The level of supervision shall be defined utilising CM-1 Construction Monitoring
Explanatory Note:
CM-1 is a reproduction of Appendix 4 of the "Guideline for Briefing and Engagement for Consulting Engineering Services" compiled by ACENZ/IPENZ. It is a requirement of the Consent Holder’s Representative to provide appropriate supervision to ensure that the works are undertaken correctly and are certifiable.
  1. Council will confirm acceptance, or otherwise, of the level of supervision proposed in the Development Works Approval
